Pirilampo is located in a natural reserve with breathtaking views. The hills of Monchique are ideal for hiking and there are hiking trails for everyone, as the level of difficulty and length vary enormously. The village (5 minute drive) has nice terraces, picturesque streets, churches and all the facilities you need such as supermarket, post office and banks. Pirilampo is located in the middle of nature but is not isolated, two restaurants are on a 5 minute walk from the house.
Algarve is famous for its beautiful small and idyllic beaches. In half an hour from Pirilampo you will reach the south coast. The cliffs of this coast are impressive and the water has a very pleasant temperature. Portimão and Lagos are two nice towns with good and quiet beaches which also offer boat trips to visit the sea caves along the coast.
If you prefer unspoiled nature and a wilder sea then you should pay a visit to ‘Costa Vicentina’ on the west Coast, at about 45 minutes from Pirilampo.
There are many activities along the coast such as golf, surf and sailing schools, boat trips, horse riding and safari trips to the interior of Algarve. Close to Pirilampo (20 minute drive) there is the Morgado golf course, well known for its beautiful and well maintained courses.
