Surroundings

Pirilampo is located in a nature reserve with beautiful views. The Monchique mountains are an excellent walking area and the many trails offer various possibilities in terms of length and difficulty. Take a look at Alltrails to get an idea.

Old streets, nice terraces and a supermarket can be found in the village of Monchique. And the entire Algarve is famous for its beautiful large and small idyllic beaches

The village

The village of Monchique (5 minutes' drive) offers old streets, terraces, nice churches and facilities such as supermarket, post office and banks. Pirilampo is surrounded by nature, but is certainly not isolated, at a 5-minute walk from our house there are already 2 restaurants.

Idyllic beaches

Algarve is famous for its beautiful large and small idyllic beaches. The south coast is half an hour's drive from Pirilampo. Especially the high cliffs are beautiful and the seawater has a pleasant temperature. Portimão and Lagos are two places that, besides beautiful beaches, also offer nice boat trips to the caves and inlets carved out by the seawater.

Unspoilt nature

If you prefer unspoilt nature and a wilder sea, "Costa Vicentina" on the west coast, a 45-minute drive away, is well worth a visit.

Activities

Furthermore, there are many activities possible along the coast such as golf, surfing and, sailing schools, boat trips, horse riding and safari trips into the interior. About a 20-minute drive away is the Morgado Golf Course, renowned for its beautiful and well-maintained courses.
